Rory (Jude Law - The Talented Mr Ripley, The Grand Budapest Hotel) an ambitious entrepreneur, persuades his wife (Carrie Coon - (Ghostbusters: Afterlife, Gone Girl), and their children to leave America and return to his native England during the 1980s. Sensing opportunity, Rory rejoins his former firm and leases a centuries-old country manor. However, all is not as it seems and soon the promise of a lucrative new beginning starts to unravel and the couple have to face the secrets and unwelcome truths that lie beneath the surface of their marriage.

With an outstanding cast that also includes Adeel Akhtar (Four Lions, Everybody's Talking About Jamie) and Anne Reid (Last Tango in Halifax, Sanditon THE NEST is an outstanding new film not to be missed.

Following its successful UK and Irish theatrical release earlier this year, Element Distribution and Picturehouse Entertainment are pleased to announce the Home Entertainment release of the critically acclaimed HERSELF on 17th January. From lauded director Phyllida Lloyd (The Iron Lady, Mamma Mia!) and co-written by and starring Clare Dunne (Spider-Man: Far from Home, Kin), in a powerful lead performance. Set for release on DVD, Blu-ray & Digital in early 2022, the cast also includes Harriet Walter (The Last Duel) and Conleth Hill (Game of Thrones).

Sandra (Clare Dunne) is a young Mum struggling to provide her two young daughters with a warm, safe, happy home to grow up in. However, when it becomes clear that the local council won't provide that home, she decides to build it herself from scratch. But with very little income and no savings, Sandra must use all her ingenuity to make her ambitious dream a reality whilst at the same time escaping the grip of her possessive ex-husband. The lionhearted Sandra draws together a community of friends to support her and it is the kindness and generosity of these people alongside the love of her young daughters that helps build her strength and sense of self.

HERSELF was co-written by Clare Dunne and Malcolm Campbell (What Richard Did). It was co-developed by Element Pictures and Merman and is produced by Academy Award nominee Ed Guiney (The Favourite, The Lobster) and Rory Gilmartin (Rosie) for Element, together with BAFTA award-winning actress, writer, producer and director Sharon Horgan (Catastrophe, Divorce). Clelia Mountford (Motherland, There She Goes) from Merman, Element Pictures' Andrew Lowe, BBC Films' Rose Garnett, Cornerstone Films' Alison Thompson, Mary Burke from the BFI and Lesley McKimm from Screen Ireland are executive producers. The film was developed with BBC Films and Screen Ireland and production was backed by Screen Ireland, BBC Films and the BFI (with National Lottery funding).

First Date

Put on your best garms and buckle up for a First Date to remember. This rip-roaring date night caper takes an unexpectedly wild and weird wrong turn, when a teenager tries to impress the girl of his dreams but ends up attracting more than his fair share of unwanted attention. This Tarantino-esque, crime comedy adventure made the official Sundance 2021 selection and is now set to arrive on UK digital 17 January from 101 Films.

Shy high schooler Mike (Tyson Brown) finally summons the courage to ask out his badass neighbour Kelsey (Shelby Duclos) only to realise he's missing a key element for a successful date - a car. Panicked and low on cash, he's conned into buying a beat up '65 Chrysler. Mike's plan to win over Kelsey soon turns into a surreal misadventure when they are they find themselves at the mercy of two cops, a criminal gang, and a vengeful cat lady. A night fuelled by desire, bullets, and burning rubber makes any other first date seem like a walk in the park.

In this perfectly executed throwback thrill ride, directing duo Manuel Crosby and Darren Knapp deftly weave together elements of dark comedy, teen romance, shoot 'em up action and classic coming-of-age story, creating a truly entertaining ride that never misses a beat. This refreshing mix of tones, coupled with a break-out performance from Tyson Brown as Mike, make First Date a truly outstanding first feature.

Forget Fred Sirieix for your matchmaking needs, this First Date will be love and laughs at first watch.

Suki Waterhouse (Assassination Nation, Insurgent) plays Camille Meadows, the new girl at the prestigious Edelvine Academy for Girls. Desperate to fit in and make new friends, when a group of girls invite her to join them in a late-night ritual, she feels obliged to join in.

They set up a seance to try and summon the spirit of a dead former student who is said to haunt the school halls, but little do they know the devastation they're about to unleash. Before dawn, one of the girls is dead, and the rest of them are left others wondering what they have awakened.

Desperate for one last weekend of fun before his baby is born and he has to settle down, Dastan rounds up his two best pals for a boys weekend of fishing and fun, but little do they know their plan for a chilled trip to the lake is about to turn into mad and deadly mayhem.

After accidentally witnessing a murder by a group of thugs, the three friends are suddenly on the run to escape their violent clutches and then things turn even wilder. With a mysterious one-eyed man out for blood and a desperate wannabe bride and her pushy father in the mix, the body count starts to rise. Based on The Fixer-Upper Mysteries books by Kate Carlisle, internationally renowned singer Jewel takes the lead as Shannon Hughes, a renovation expert turned detective in these three feature length mysteries. In Framed For Murder, Shannon suspects foul play when her friend and neighbour dies, and she joins forces with new client, who happens to be a crime writer, to help solve the mystery surrounding the man's death and the 10-million-dollar jewels that might be hidden somewhere in his house. In Concrete Evidence, a human skull and a hidden diary set Shannon on a path of discovery and Deadly Deed sees her investigating the murder of a much-hated banker.


Raise a glass to brand new drama Under the Vines, a fresh, entertaining series full of dry wit and notes of sweetness. The show makes its UK TV debut exclusively on Acorn TV. The first two episodes of the six-part series will premiere on 10th January with later episodes to follow weekly on Mondays.

Little does she know that the vineyard has a co-owner, grumpy UK-born lawyer, Louis Oakley (Edwards), who also travels to the wine region to escape a spiraling series of unfortunate events in his life. Despite neither having done a hard days' work in their lives and both despising each other, the two must somehow make Oakley Winery successful so they can sell up, split up and get out.

The ensemble cast includes Dean O'Gorman (One Lane Bridge), Sara Wiseman (A Place to Call Home), John Bach (Janet King), Matt Whelan (The Sounds), Simon Mead ()Nothing Trivial), Sarah Peirse (Poor Boy) and Cohen Holloway (Top of the Lake).
