Dancing With Crime

Classic film noir, Dancing with Crime, directed by John Paddy Carstairs (Trouble in Store, One Good Turn), makes its much-anticipated arrival on DVD for the first time since its theatrical release in 1947. Returning home from WWII, childhood friends and army comrades Dave Robinson (Bill Rowbotham - Last of the Summer Wine) and Ted Peters (Attenborough) make very different choices. Ted gets an honest job as a taxi driver, and saves for his wedding to childhood sweetheart, Joy (Sheila Sim - A Canterbury Tale). Dave, however, wants easy cash and soon becomes involved with a gang. When Dave runs into money troubles with the mob boss, and is found dead in the back of Ted's taxi, suspicions fly as Scotland Yard investigate the murder. The police suspect Dave's underworld connections, the mob suspects that Ted knows their guilt, and Ted himself suspects who the real killer might be...

Asylum

Trailblazing psychiatrist R.D. Laing changed the way mental illness was treated with his unique approach to therapy and in the early 1970s he allowed a film crew access to a group of his patients in one of the most incredible fly-on-the-wall documentaries ever made, Asylum. Now this fascinating film makes its UK DVD debut courtesy of OEG Classic Movies. With David Tennant on board to play the renowned Glasgow-born analyst Ronald David Laing in a major new biopic, this timely release gives an insight into mental illness as filmmaker Peter Robinson and his crew enter the world of the schizophrenic residents of a hospital in Archway, London. Filmed over a seven-week period the film takes us behind the doors and into the lives of mentally ill patients and Laing's controversial approach to healing them through compassion and freedom. Originally released in 1972 this groundbreaking film comes to UK DVD for the first time on 10 August 2015 complete with a slew of fascinating special features.

Mr & Mrs Murder

Having taken Australian audiences by storm, hilarious crime comedy series Mr & Mrs Murder now lands on British shores, with a DVD premiere from RLJ Entertainment's Acorn Label, following its current transmission on Channel 5 USA. Created by and starring renowned Aussie actor and comedian Shaun Micallef (Talkin' 'Bout Your Generation) and Kat Stewart (Offspring), this thrilling series follows the adventures of a married couple who run an industrial cleaning business whilst solving the most baffling murder mysteries. Described by the Sydney Morning Herald as 'a modern take on screwball crime-comedy', crime scene cleaners Charlie (Micallef) and Nicola (Stewart) Buchanan are a fun loving and flirtatious couple whose unique quirks and talents lead them to unpick puzzling crimes. Delivery Man

From the director and writers of Green Wing and Smack the Pony, The Delivery Man is a brilliant new sitcom about a policeman-turned-midwife. This hilarious series makes its home entertainment debut courtesy of RLJ Entertainment's Acorn label, following its hugely successful run on ITV earlier in the year. Newly qualified midwife Matthew Bunting (Darren Boyd - Fortitude, Spy, Green Wing) is experiencing a kind of re-birth, having given up his life as a police constable in his mid 30s in the hope of finding something more meaningful. Arriving in his first job as a junior midwife at Easthill Park Maternity Unit, and the first male midwife to hit the unit, Matthew makes an instant impact on his patients and new team members alike. He joins divorced senior midwife Caitlin (Fay Ripley - Suspects, Cold Feet), witty and likeable junior midwife Lisa (Aisling Bea - Trollied, The Town), the extremely no-nonsense senior midwife Pat (Llewella Gideon - The Crouches, Absolutely Fabulous) and naive trouble-maker Tash (Jennie Jacques - Vikings, Desperate Romantics).

Shark Killer

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell

Falstaff Chimes At Midnight

To celebrate the centenary of Orson Welles' birth, Mr Bongo Films is delighted to announce the release of a brand new restored 50th Anniversary Edition of his masterpiece Falstaff Chimes at Midnight. One of the most radical and groundbreaking of all Shakespeare adaptations, Chimes at Midnight was Orson Welles' favourite of his films and will be in cinemas from 1 May 2015 as part of the 100 years of Orson Welles celebrations. This will be followed by a DVD and Blu-ray release on 29 June 2015. On the brink of Civil War, King Henry IV (John Gielgud) attempts to consolidate his reign while fretting with unease over his son s seeming neglect of his royal duties. Hal (Keith Baxter), the young Prince, openly consorts with Sir John Falstaff (Orson Welles) and his company. Hal's friendship with the knight substitutes for his estrangement from his father. Both Falstaff and the King are old and tired; both rely on Hal for comfort in their final years, while the young Prince, the future Henry V, nurtures his own ambitions.
