The Commitments

25 years ago, on the big screen, wannabe band manager Jimmy Rabbitte put this advert in the local newspaper and before long a loveable ragtag group of Dubliners got together to form the soulful sounds of The Commitments.

Renowned director Alan Parker's (Midnight Express, Bugsy Malone), funny, uplifting, gritty film, based on Roddy Doyle's (The Snapper, The Van), debut novel, took the world by storm on its 1991 release, garnering critical acclaim and awards galore including a BAFTA for Best Film. It has since spawned a slew of touring bands and a hugely successful stage musical which commences its UK tour later this year.

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this seminal film, RLJ Entertainment is thrilled to release The Commitments Special Edition, featuring a host of bonus features, including brand new interviews with Alan Parker and cast members and much much more. It will be released in both Blu-ray and DVD formats, with a digital copy to download, watch and own, and a collectible booklet, on 19 September 2016.

Sour Grapes

It's the kind of story that sounds more like a work of fiction, or the kind of yarn recounted after a few bottles of Burgundy, but the tale of Rudy Kurniawan, wine connoisseur and trader, who sold a whopping $35 million worth of vintage wine at just two auctions, is as true as it comes.

With a plot that has more than a hint of international crime thriller and a dose of satire, SOUR GRAPES - deftly directed by Jerry Rothwell (Town of Runners) and Reuben Atlas (Brothers Hypnotic) and a Met Film and Faites Un Voeu co-production -features FBI agents, dodgy auction houses, international collectors, money men, and outraged wine producers. See for yourself when SOUR GRAPES opens across the UK on 16 September.

World War Two 1942 and Hitler's Soft Underbelly

The British fought the Second World War to defeat Hitler. World War Two 1942 and Hitler's Soft Underbelly asks why, then, did they spend so much of the conflict battling through North Africa and Italy?

Reynolds reassesses Winston Churchill's conviction that the Mediterranean was the 'soft underbelly' of Hitler's Europe. Travelling to Egypt and Italian battlefields like Cassino, scene of some of the worst carnage in western Europe, he shows how, in reality, the 'soft underbelly' became a dark and dangerous obsession for Churchill.

Reynolds reveals a prime minister very different from the jaw-jutting bulldog of Britain's 'finest hour' in 1940 - a leader who was politically vulnerable at home, desperate to shore up a crumbling British empire abroad, losing faith in his army and even ready to deceive his American allies if it might delay fighting head to head against the Germans in northern France. It arrives on DVD 5 September 2016.

Grace of My Heart

Inspired by the life of internationally renowned singer songwriter Carole King, acclaimed feature film Grace of My Heart, arrives on DVD on 15 August 2016, following hot on the heels of Carole's hugely successful concert in Hyde Park, her first performance in London in 30 years. With the successful smash hit Broadway show Beautiful: The Carole King Musical, still selling out in London's West End, Carole's star continues to shine brightly.

Featuring a stellar cast, a stunning soundtrack and Martin Scorsese as executive producer, Grace of My Heart hits all the right notes as it charts the inspirational story of a female singer-songwriter's struggle to make her mark in the dynamic American music scene of the 60s and 70s.

Set at the time when prodigiously talented singer-songwriters were fighting for recognition in a tough, male-dominated music industry, Grace of My Heart traces the 'long and winding road' to stardom of Denise Waverly (Illeana Douglas - Six Feet Under), whose songs bring fame to other people - until she finds her own voice. This influential story also stars Eric Stoltz (Mask), Patsy Kensit (Absolute Beginners), Bridget Fonda (Single White Female), Matt Dillon (Crash) and John Turturro (Barton Fink).
