Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives

During the 1990s The Stretch Armstrong and Bobbito Show was responsible for introducing some of the biggest names in hip hop to the world, including unsigned rappers Nas, Biggie Smalls, Fat Joe, Big Pun, DMX and Wu-Tang Clan, as well as unknown artists Jay-Z, Eminem and the Fugees. All went on to have major record deals with total record sales for all artists that premiered on the show exceeding 300 million.

Now the story of two friends whose love of music made them unlikely legends by bringing a unique audience together and breaking the world's biggest rap stars, can be seen in the amazing feature documentary Stretch and Bobbito: Radio That Changed Lives, which makes its DVD debut as an HMV exclusive on 14 October 2016 and general release on DVD and digital download on 24 October 2016 thanks to STUDIOCANAL.

The Electric Horseman

Sexual chemistry crackles between double Oscar winners Robert Redford (Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid) and Jane Fonda (Nine to Five) in The Electric Horseman, a romantic comedy adventure directed by acclaimed director Sydney Pollack (Tootsie), which is set for a DVD release on 17 October 2016 thanks to Odyssey Video.

Sonny Steele (Robert Redford) has swapped his previous life as a rodeo champion for a corporate gig as a brand spokesman in a garish electrified cowboy suit. Everything changes at a Las Vegas convention when, appalled that the racehorse he is riding has been doped, he gallops away into the desert to restore the horse to freedom. In hot pursuit behind him are the state police, his employers, and not least, investigative journalist Hallie Martin (Jane Fonda).

The film features a stunning score by Academy Award-winning composer Dave Grusin (The Fabulous Baker Boys), and stars country music legend Willie Nelson, of supergroup The Highwaymen, in his feature film debut. Impressively, Robert Redford did all his own riding stunts and loved the horse so much he brought it home and kept it for the rest of its life. This autumn, gallop into the sunset with this madcap caper.

The Legend of King Arthur

Andrew Davies' (House of Cards) sumptuous adaptation of the timeless saga, The Legend of King Arthur, makes its home entertainment debut on 10 October 2016 with the complete 1979 series.

Dark Ages wizard Merlin (Robert Eddison - Indiana Jones), weary of the barbarism around him, creates a new order of enlightenment and justice with a youthful Arthur (Andrew Burt - Emmerdale) at its head. Merlin presents Arthur with the magic sword Excalibur to help him defeat the nobles who oppose his rule. But Arthur must also beware his half-sister Morgan (Maureen O'Brien - Doctor Who), a sorceress who has sworn to kill him to avenge her father's death.

As Morgan intensifies her campaign, she uses magic to draw Lancelot (David Robb - Downton Abbey) and Guinevere (Felicity Dean - The Whistle Blower) into a passionate affair. But it is the still more traitorous Mordred (Steve Hodson - Break in the Sun) who will fatally halt Arthur's rule.

Bringing high romance, low treachery and magical adventure via a host of legendary characters and featuring an early appearance by Patsy Kensit (Holby City), this is a fabulous retelling of the gloriously twisting tale.

Bite

So graphic that sick bags were handed out at the world premiere, the gut-wrenching gore fest Bite, about one woman's sickening transformation, gets its first UK DVD release in October courtesy of Second Sight Films.

While partying on a bachelorette getaway with her friends, bride-to-be Casey (Elma Begovic - Tear Us Apart) is bitten by a mysterious, unseen bug. On returning home what first appears to be a nasty infection rapidly mutates into something far more sinister as Casey takes on an horrific insect-like transformation.

Shedding skin, vomiting acidic bile, biting off nails and excreting slime drenched eggs all over her newly created nest, Casey must now find flesh to feed on.

As her transformation becomes complete, Casey discovers that everything can change with a single bite.

Written and directed by Chad Archibald (The Drownsman) this fantastically gruesome body-horror will be released on DVD on 10 October 2016.

The Commitments

25 years ago, on the big screen, wannabe band manager Jimmy Rabbitte put this advert in the local newspaper and before long a loveable ragtag group of Dubliners got together to form the soulful sounds of The Commitments.

Renowned director Alan Parker's (Midnight Express, Bugsy Malone), funny, uplifting, gritty film, based on Roddy Doyle's (The Snapper, The Van), debut novel, took the world by storm on its 1991 release, garnering critical acclaim and awards galore including a BAFTA for Best Film. It has since spawned a slew of touring bands and a hugely successful stage musical which commences its UK tour later this year.

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this seminal film, RLJ Entertainment is thrilled to release The Commitments Special Edition, featuring a host of bonus features, including brand new interviews with Alan Parker and cast members and much much more. It will be released in both Blu-ray and DVD formats, with a digital copy to download, watch and own, and a collectible booklet, on 19 September 2016.

Sour Grapes

It's the kind of story that sounds more like a work of fiction, or the kind of yarn recounted after a few bottles of Burgundy, but the tale of Rudy Kurniawan, wine connoisseur and trader, who sold a whopping $35 million worth of vintage wine at just two auctions, is as true as it comes.

With a plot that has more than a hint of international crime thriller and a dose of satire, SOUR GRAPES - deftly directed by Jerry Rothwell (Town of Runners) and Reuben Atlas (Brothers Hypnotic) and a Met Film and Faites Un Voeu co-production -features FBI agents, dodgy auction houses, international collectors, money men, and outraged wine producers. See for yourself when SOUR GRAPES opens across the UK on 16 September.
